Fell off the wagon!
Alas the summer is ending near and I have fallen off the wagon my friends lol. So in my last post Summer Slacking http://www.gettingstrongnow.com/summer-slacking/ I talked about how I was… well.. a slacker this summer. I was doing a hodge podge of workouts and decided to start the Insanity Workout all over again which I did… for a week…
It’s not that I wanted to stop, I was super pumped to get back into it. Of course I had to go and get sick and have a sinus infection for a week… then we had to drive 6 hours to see a dying relative… then it was just this and that. I know I know… no excuses, but it threw off my game big time.
It has been hard to find motivation this summer, but it comes and goes. This week I decided to give Chalean Extreme a shot. I just wanted something new to try and I knew I just don’t have the motivation to jump back into Insanity right now. I have done burn circuit 1 & 2 this week and I have to say I am pretty sore in my legs. The workouts were 37 and 39 minutes long, so I was in and out. Tomorrow is the cardio and abs which will prob push over an hour, but it is something new and I am doing it so that is a good thing. My goal is to maybe bounce around with this for a few weeks then get back on the Insanity Workout wagon.
One thing I can say for Insanity is that it turns your body into a machine. My diet has been really bad the last part of the summer with vacation and short trips here and there. It was hard finding a clean eating routine when you are out and about. I have def got a little more jiggle then before, but the definition in my abs is still there. I never had those lines in my upper abs until insanity and that is just great that they are still there. That 60 days can carry your body a long way…. just imagine if I had done the 2nd cycle of Insanity wow!!

Heya, what’s up. I’ve been doing insanity still. On my last 4 weeks now. Started the MAX workouts last week. Remember the group of friends I was telling you about? That were doing insanity with me? They fell off the wagon too.
I really am the only one doing it now. Things started to come up, everyone got busy with school.
So far, so good, I feel so much better, I see some definition coming up, and my cardio’s gotten tons better. I’m kinda excited to see how this goes once I’m done. Pushing through!
p.s. you should go back to doing insanity. and blog more.

Yeah man I am a slacker lol, but I will be back at Insanity full time next week. I actually did the first P90x workout today and will do Insanity tomorrow “not sure which one yet” then P90x on wed and Insnanity again on thursday. Also doing Ab Ripper X after the Insanity workouts. I have to travel Thurs afternoon till monday, so Tuesday will start Insanity all over again.
Ugh man I could only imagine what shape I would be in if I had not slacked. But hey.. it was a great summer and a great time to unwind, but now I am getting back into it!
