Diet & Working Out

Well… I am on my 4th week of eating very very clean. Remember I talked about the Paleo Diet?

Just wanted to shoot out an update of how it was going. It has been going pretty well to be honest. I have gone 3 friday nights without PIZZA! ugh lol… I know I know how could I do that. I just did and the real reason is that I feel great! I have not had a brownie, cup cake, donut, etc… for almost a month! I miss it for sure and I am coming up on a month which is usually my threshold for when I go off the wagon! So I am trying my best to have food available to eat so I don’t splurge!

I was happy that the CrossFit gym I go to QCrossFit is holding a 30 Day Paleo Challenge and having a seminar on nutrition and all that fun stuff. I really hope to learn a lot more about why eating this way is better for you.

I have been on this path before so who knows what will happen. Most people I talk to say I am nuts or “how can you eat like that”, “how can you not have cake, donuts etc…”, “that is way to extreme for me!” all that fun stuff.

Here are a few things I know.

  • I have been feeling great! More energy… clearer head.
  • Feeling Stronger
  • Losing Fat & Gaining Muscle

I tell you one thing, not gorging myself with refined foods as great as they taste is a blessing sometimes. Feeling tired after eating and not having energy to play with my kid is redic!

So most people will tell you its extreme… but what is extreme?
Extreme is getting a  a vein from your leg stitched to your heart in a bypass surgey.
Extreme is not being able to count the amount of pills you take everyday for “FILL IN AILMENT HERE”
Extreme is weight loss surgery.

I dunno maybe that was a bit extreme for me saying that, but it is how I feel now. If you see me in a few months from now and I have a gut, you have permission to kick me!
