Fit Test 2

Ok so it was a rough last few days! I was all banged up and had to hit the Chiropractor lol. That was on Friday and I still ended up doing my workout for Friday later in the day. Sat almost didnt happen, but I really wanted to get the cardio abs in. I ended up doing the warm up of plyo and one circuit then moved onto the cardio abs. Cardio abs was tough.
My hip flexors are still sore! I was really looking forward to the fit test, but was a bit nervous since cardio abs really put a hurting on me. One thing I can say is that my core is becoming more solid and I can really utilize it now as I work.
Ok on to the Fit Test #2. I woke up at 6am real tight, so when I started up the fit test and went through the warm up I decided to actually do the warm up again. Like I said I have been real tight and sore and I just wanted to be as loose and warm as possible.
1. Switch Kicks (2 kicks = 1 rep)
* 1st Test- 47
* 2nd Test – 57
2. Power Jacks
* 1st Test- 29
* 2nd Test – 45
3. Power Knees
* 1st Test- 55
* 2nd Test – 67
4. Power Jumps
* 1st Test- 21
* 2nd Test – 15
5. Globe Jumps
* 1st Test- 8
* 2nd Test – NA
6. Suicide Jumps
* 1st Test- 13
* 2nd Test – 17
7. Push Up Jacks
* 1st Test- 20
* 2nd Test – 26
8. Low Plank Oblique
* 1st Test- 24
* 2nd Test – 46
I have to say I am pretty happy with the results. As for the power jumps I had to stop. When I lift my legs up I feel this crunching in my hip almost as if my hip was coming out so no thanks on that. Globe jumps just don’t work for me, I just don’t have enough room to do them properly and make them worth it.
All in all I did not feel like I was dying like the last time and after 2 weeks of the Insanity Workout I am feeling great!
I am still debating if I want to play some BBall tonight, but like i said my hip flexors are killing me still. doh!

Sorry to hear you’ve been having so much trouble! On the upside, you can’t argue with those numbers. The ones that you are able to do properly show a clear improvement over your initial test. That’s freakin’ awesome man! Doing a tiny bit of math (eliminating the two exercises that did not apply right now), that’s an average improvement of 41.66% in exercises completed!!!.
I don’t blame you for your skip out on the power jumps if your hips are bothering you. I’ve been doing the initial and cool down stretch routines a bit altered because of my knee. Those hip flexor stretches KILL my lead knee. I’ve been stretching the rear knee well, but have been overly supporting my weight with the aid of hands on the floor. Still working on keeping my core tight and continuing to sweat… But like your power jumps… the workout becomes worthless if you injure yourself and can’t do ANYTHING!
I can’t say that I’m surprised, given my activity level before I started this whole thing, but I imagine, like anything else, it will continue to get better with time.
Dude, make sure you don’t screw your back up any worse. Stretch and do what you gotta, but you sound like you’re no stranger to random bodily/muscular pulls or injuries… You gotta know how quickly that will kill ALL your momentum.
Glad to hear you’re still with it though! I got worried when you didn’t post for a while! You’ve made a habit of daily posts thus far. If you bailed, I was going to find you, and run you like a high school coach
Chad wassuppp. Yeah man been beat up a bit, but getting stronger!! Thanks for your math skeelz!! lol
Yeah I am just going with the flow. If I am sweating I am happy no sense in injuring myself. Yeah the long weekend kept me from posting, not even sure if Ill get a post up today for the Plyo Cardio Circuit I did this morning. Kicked my butt, I was very gassed, but got through it and feel good.
Thanks for the motivation! So you are on week 4 then?
Yes, yes… Just knocked out Pure Cardio/Cardio Abs for yesterday. Looking forward to moving on to my balance week, although I’m kind of dreading the same workout over and over for 6 days. And month 2 has me scared, but we’ll see!!!
