Insanity Workout Day 2

Helppp!! OK so it’s not that bad… or maybe it is! Too make it worse I went and played basketball last night for a little over an hour. I was just starting to feel some of the soreness from the fit test, but I felt great playing basketball!
So this morning I was sore, but excited to start Day 2 of insanity, plyometric cardio circuit. I have to be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect. The warm up started and just kept going. lol. I was like I thought this was the warm up! I think there were 3 warm up circuits, maybe 4. Regardless I was getting tired during the warm and even during some of the stretching. Yikes! I was dripping sweat and the real circuit hadn’t even started.
Right off the bat I could tell my legs especially my calves were sore from yesterdays fit test and playing basketball so it was hard to get moving, but I pushed on through. I felt like a spaz doing some of the movements. The Heisman move for some reason I just can’t make it feel smooth. I’ll get it sooner or later! All I can say is that I was praying for those water breaks to come sooner. I found myself taking making my own breaks throughout the whole circuit, but my heart was pounding and I was dripping with sweat so knew I was getting a work out for sure. The squats were really punishing my quads, but it was a good burn. When we finally switched to the punching in place exercises it was a relief, but Shaun T still had some tricks under his sleeve. All in all it was a great workout and another day of Insanity whooping my butt!
I feel great right now 3 hours later, but I can tell my body is tired! Its all good! This just motivates me to keep pushing on. All I can say is that I am going to bed and hour or two earlier tonight!

Insanity Workout Review

KEEP WITH IT!!! The first week is tough, and can seem overwhelming… I just came off of it. My wife and I started the program on Monday, March 15, so we completed day 8 tonight. Legs in particular will be sore, and as you go you should get better at “scrunching” your core and the abs will start to hurt. This is by far the toughest thing I have attempted since being an average athlete in High School. I’m 31 now… In good shape appearance-wise… I have an awesome metabolism, but I’ve lost my tone, and my endurance is for crap right now. I’m reading your posts with great interest, as I feel like you are going through the exact same stuff I jammed myself through. NO WAY to go all the way to the water breaks without inserting your own, at least at my fitness level, but I push hard. This week, I feel good. My back pain is gone in the morning, and my muscles never fail to remind me that I’m working hard… not even for a minute.
PUSH BROTHER!!! 60 days from now will be awesome. I feel great just knowing I survived the first week. Hit it man, hit it!!! I’m pullin’ for ya’!
SCOOOOO!!!!
Chad thanks for the encouragement!! It really helps! Getting up this morning was tough, but I got up and pushed through it! 60 days seems so far away…

I was cracking up! Ok off today write todays post!
March 23, 2010?! Wow, I’m late. Well, how did the Insanity workout go for you then? I’ve actually just started and today is my second day…just finished.
I just completed day 2 today and I’m wiped. I actually puked from the fitness test and was feeling a little discouraged. But today was much better. Definitely took some of my own breaks when feeling dizzy lol. The soreness is starting to kick in as we speak. I’m taking it week by week.
Haha yeah you can do it. get passed the first 2 weeks and your golden! Even if you need to take mini breaks just get through the workouts and you will be great!
