Holy Soreness Batman!!

Day 3 and I am crying like a baby. At least that’s what my wife said.
Last night I was getting real tight in my calves, so I did some stretching. I was debating taking a day off since getting injured really wouldn’t be fun! So.. did I? No way man!! The alarm went off at 6am and the wife said you getting up or what. She thinks I can’t push through so that was enough to get me to literally roll out of bed!
Today was day 3 of the insanity workout and the Cardio Power and Resistance workout. I tell ya the warm up whooped me again! I was getting worried I would not be able to get through it as my calves were tight and burning, but after the warm up the pain sort of went away… sort of/ ; -)
For some reason today’s workout did not seem as hard as day 2, but I was still taking extra water breaks and struggling. The knee jumps were tough, but I paced myself. I found myself trying to push out a certain number then take a few second break. I find if I don’t do that I start getting sloppy with form and that is where injury can occur.
One of the toughest things for me today was the tricep work. My triceps were burning bad! That’s a good thing, but I could not believe it!
I gotta say right now I am beat! Soreness all over lol, but I do feel tighter and can’t wait to keep at it. See ya tomorrow for day 4 and cardio recovery. Ahh some recovery lol.

Good to know I'm not alone!! I hate to say it, but it almost helps me to know that someone out there is suffering at the same time as me. Mid way through the first week I couldn't walk down stairs without holding onto the railing like an old lady. You know it's bad when you're on your third jumping jack at slow speed and your legs are already tired!
I agree with your assessment of the workout, too. Power & Resistance seems to slow things down a bit, but it attacks your upper body quite a bit more. If you're like me, the soreness will stick with you (especially the calves and quads) through the first week. Beginning week two seemed to be better. My body getting used to working. Still hurts, but it should get better for you.
Funny about your wife. Great how a little doubt can edge you on to give her a big ol' crapburger to eat. And yeah, I love the "SCOOO!" I yell that all the time when we start. Don't know if it helps, but it makes me feel good. I also enjoy giving Shaun T the finger. I'm quickly beginning not to like him
Go man, GO GO!!!
Ha I hear ya. 2 minutes into the warm up the legs are burning and IM saying to myself, can I really get through this!!
Its also great when people on the DVD start bailing out. Like umm… your in shape, what are you doing! ha.
Yeah I find myself wanting to yell as well, then I remember I am out in my garage which is 2 feet from my neighbor and he might hear me lol.
Lets keep it going bro!!!
