Insanity Workout Day 7

alarm clock

So I kind of felt like smashing the alarm clock this morning. I was so exhausted last night, but I could not fall asleep. Go figure!

Ok so Monday morning Day 7 of Insanity! Cardio Power and Resistance. Warm up is still kicking my butt. I did feel a lot better and rested after my day off. I almost felt guilty for not doing anything on Sunday, but chores around the yard made up for that lol.

Even though its only been a week I can say I feel tighter and a bit stronger. This workout for me was a little bit easier then the rest, don’t ask me why. The one thing I notice is my feet get really really tired. Just shows that I am working all those balancing muscles that never get worked on. I could feel my core more during the routine which is great. That really helps with the form and getting a better workout. I would do a few good solid sets then get sloppy and take a break to get back to the good form. I was dripping with sweat this morning so that was great. Still cold enough where I could see my breath. I should be thankful, because I am sure it will start getting real hot and balmy in my garage soon. I guess thats when I will really shed the pounds hehe.

All in all a great way to start the week. It’s funny I actually get a bit excited for the next days workout. I wake in the middle of the night, like is it 6 yet?
Lets see how long I can keep that up.

I can’t wait until you are in the Max workouts and the humidity is 90% in your garage. It will feel like you are in a sauna. Actually now that I think about it maybe I’ll start Round 2 in the summer time in your garage, what is the fee :)

    Don’t think I’ll be joining that club sirs… ;)

Glad the PPV went well. WrestleMania was pretty awesome. I got a buddy that recorded the UFC PPV and I recorded Mania, so we’re gonna trade this weekend. Will be the first UFC PPV that I’ve seen… Too bad it doesn’t have the allure of the great live show, already knowing the results and all.

Hey, speaking of results, check this out!!!

First/Second Fit test results: Bearing in mind, no wierd counting except on Globe Jumps… it’s easier to count by ones than to double count, like I should be with switch kicks or Low Plank Oblique, for instance. Globe jumps I count properly… four jumps = one globe.

    Test 1 Test 2
    Switch Kicks 54 126
    Power Jacks 50 58
    Power Knees 78 103
    Power Jumps 28 36
    Globe Jumps 7 11
    Suicide Jumps 16 20
    Push-Up Jacks 23 37
    Low Plank Oblique 47 56

Good Lord! Almost certainly a percentage of my improvement can be tied to the fact that I now understand and am comfortable with the excercises, whereas they were a bit awkward the first time round. But it all can’t be attributed to that! By Globe Jumps the first time, I could barely breath, I felt MUCH better this time through. I’m guessing this will be the largest improvement from fit test to fit test… Mike, is that the way it worked for you? Did you kind of level off as you went?

Great work getting through your first week Chris!!! I think you’ll feel much better about week two. I don’t envy you in the cold garage in the morning… aside from the fact that I’m useless for at least an hour after I wake up. Exercise that early… NOT cool. You got drive son!

Chad great work on the fit test. I am pumped to retake mine. My form is getting better too. I don’t feel like a complete idiot anymore only like %50 idiot lol.

It’s great to see improvement, keeps ya moving!!

As for getting up in the morning, I don’t even think I know Im working out lol so that gets me through, then after the workout I am like did I just do that? Why and I dripping in sweat ha!
