Pure Cardio Round 2

OK so its Day 8 of my Insanity Workout and back again is Pure Cardio!!
I wanted to get to bed early last night, but that didn’t happen. I forgot Monday night was Pawn Stars and I do a play by play blog on it here http://www.thepawnshow.com/ Thank God it was only 1 new episode last night. I hit the sack at about 11 and when that alarm clock went off at 6am I didn’t know where I was. This was the first time I actually contemplated going back to sleep and trying to do Insanity later that night. Now we all know that wouldn’t happen. I’d get home from work, eat dinner, put the kid to sleep then be done for the night. So… I manned up and got to work!!
Today was the first day where I was able to get through the warm up with a handful of breaks. Whats a handful? I dunno maybe 4 or 5 lol. Of course after the warm up I take off my hooded sweat shirt and pull the same muscle in my back as I did on sat morning. Trust me the more you read my blog posts the more you will see that something on me is always hurting. Maybe I am just a whiner, but whatever I move on!! ; -)
I can’t even think of half the things I did this morning during pure cardio. I know those jump squats rocked my world a bit and when we got to the push ups I struggled. I really try to get all the push ups in because I want PECS!! hahaha I took my own breaks again throughout the workout, but I try to do it where I will take a 5 second count then get back into it. I will try to do a number of the moves rather then keeping up with everyone. So I might do 10 moves then take a 5 second break depending on the move and how I am feeling. I could def feel my core getting more involved.
I hope to play some BBall tomorrow night as well.I am curious to see how I will feel playing with the insanity work i have put in so far. All the jump and leg moves is gonna give me a bit of an edge. When I am playing with the 20 somethings I need it! Does feel good to put a hurting on the young-ins though ha.
Well… Until tomorrow. Oh I wanted to ask. When did everyone out there start to see some results? I mean I feel tighter and stronger, but I am not really seeing much yet. Of course it has only been 8 days lol, but I am curious when you started looking in the mirror or putting on your pants and saying danggg this is working!!

Patience my man Rome wasn't built in a day. I think you will see dramatic results when playing basketball after Insanity not so much during. Perhaps cardio wise you'll see the results but with Insanity and so much leg work your legs will get fatigued quicker but after a week or so after Insanity you'l feel the results, I am with my running routine with better times and less soreness. I can't see a huge difference yet, it terms of muscle tone, but my wife and I can easily see small differences in things like clothes. Jeans that were tight around her thighs are more wrinkled and loose. I've also had to tighten my belt by one notch… I want to lose a bit more for that reason… See… second notch (where I used to keep it) is to loose now, but third notch it a hair tight.
And I totally agree with Mike… I'm excited to see some visible results, but I can feel the results already. I coach my 8 year old's Baseball team, and we had opening practice yesterday… I ran with the kids, and for the first time in 4 years, I could keep up with them endurance-wise. I suspect that the first month is way more about cardio and endurance conditioning, and as your muscles get stronger and last longer, the Max series will probably tone you up really quick during month two. At least that's what I'm hoping!!! Stick with it man. I can't see ANY WAY that you could do this workout without shedding fat and gaining tone.
Plus, the better you get, the more you can work, and the more you'll burn/build.
