Recovery? Im Waiting…

question

Recovery? Huh!! OK so I can see the benefits of this cardio recovery workout! Slow moves concentrating on form and core. Stretching out all those sore muscles I have beaten up the last few days.

I gotta say though, the squats were killer, especially when he is like hold it lol. Pulse em Pulse em! Shaun your killing me.

If you read my first post you will know I have cleared out my garage and doing the Insanity Workout in there. I have a concrete floor with the material you put between laminate floor and the base floor. Its not very thick and does not give much, but it’s better then straight concrete. I remembered I had those square foot puzzle piece pads in the basement so I put them down under the base material which gave me a nice 5ft wide x 3ft area of padding. It felt nicer to be on that and I can’t wait to see how it will feel while jogging in place tomorrow.

I have to say I feel sore, but I feel stronger and more full, like oh yeah I have muscles there lol. They are starting to come back alive. I know I am a week or two out from really having better control and strength with my core. As of now I try to focus on the muscle groups as I workout, but just getting through it is the goal. I can totally see how this will help out in other activities such as my basketball and even running. I don’t run, I have no desire to really run, but my buddy Mike is a big time runner and he has told me his runs are so much easier and better after finishing his Insanity Circuit. Check out Mikes Blog post about his running times here. http://www.irundoyou.com/running-times/

It’s is good too know the insanity workout is gonna boost you in other areas as well. I’ve been informed that the Pure Cardio tomorrow is tough and there are no breaks!! Arghh!!!!! Can’t wait for it!

Stickin' to the schedule, Way to go man!!

Plyo killed me yesterday, and we've got our recovery coming tonight, as well. Looking forward to it… NOT, however, looking to Pure Cardio + Cardio Abs on Saturday. Pure Cardio kicks my rump… I can't imagine adding something to it.

Push hard dude! You're over the week 1 hump, just gotta drive through Pure Cardio. Load up on water or sports drink a bit before you work out… MAJOR SWEAT!!!

Yeah its been rough doing it in the morning but its the only time! I bet if I did at night it would be a bit easier, but its all good, it is a great way to start the day!

You still sore after the workouts or not as much?

I am NOT a morning person, so in one regard, I'd like to do it then to "open up" the day and get me going. But the wife and I want to do the workouts together, and we can't do that until the evening… she runs on "teacher time".

"Sore" isn't a good word anymore. Still a tiny bit sore, especially in the morning, but it's mostly replaced by fatigue… in a good way. Stairs don't hurt anymore, but they're a chore sometimes, know what I mean? I noticed a HUGE decrease in the sore muscle department going into week 2. We did the workout in the morning for the first time and had the rest of saturday and sunday to rest. By monday I felt like a million bucks… maybe minus a few.

It definately gets easier… just never easy.
