Review of BBCOR Bats
Some of you might know I play softball. Sure its kind of a lazy mans game, but your only lazy as you make it. It is actually pretty crazy. I mean I can be doing the Insanity Workout and think I am in great shape, then I play my softball game on monday night and do a few sprints around the bags and I am so sore the next day lol. It just goes to show how important it is to mix up your training. Anyways in softball and baseball there is a new type of bat that will be standard in the next few years. I just wanted to spit out some info in case anyone was really bored
Here are a few good BBCOR bats I have seen in action!
There is no doubt that BBCOR bats are the new standard in baseball and for many different reasons. If you wish to learn more about these bats though, it will be important to research their design and closely review all aspects of them. Part of what makes these bats so unique is the fact that they are made to measure bounce and not so much speed like with traditional wooden bats. Another one of the reasons that these bats are quickly becoming the standard in baseball is because the tougher alloy materials they are made from are more resistant to cracking and breaking.
- The Easton Rival is just one of the many popular BBCOR bats with this unique design. It is made for increased durability and strength, so it does not crack nearly as easily. One of the biggest problems with wooden bats is the fact that they crack far too easily under the regular strain of the game. When players are constantly swinging away and hitting balls on the field, the bat ends to wear down over time. This particular bat has a block behind what is called the “sweet spot” in the bat, which in turn makes it much more durable than traditional wooden bats.
- This bat also has a lower M.O.I, which means that the player who is using the bat will be able to swing faster and therefore hit the ball with greater ease. That is perhaps one of the best most positive aspects of this bat and it is definitely something that wooden bats do not have. You might be surprised when you discover just how lightweight the Easton RIVAL BBCOR bat is, implementing unique and innovative technology and design ideas which are rivaled by none.
- You will find that the TPX Omaha BBCOR bat is another shining example of new and improved technology at work. It has been released by Louisville Slugger as a Limited Edition model and is made of an alloy which is both strong and consistent, giving the person who is using it a real feeling of control. It is once again a very light bat because of the material which it is made of, meaning that the player will not have nearly as hard of a time getting a good fast swing out of it. Although these bats are made for “bounciness” over speed, they are certainly able to be swung very fast by those who are using them.
- This particular BBCOR bat has a synthetic grip which makes it excellent to handle as well as a 31/32” tapered handle and a Pro Cup end cap for maximum swinging capability. Overall this bat is considered to be one of the best of its kind for a number of reasons, including the fact that it has thin walls and is extremely durable. Those who are looking to switch bats or need to pick a new one because of NCAA guidelines will definitely need to consider this one.
Overall BBCOR bats are becoming the new standard and their unique design is ushering in a whole new era of baseball bats which are stronger, faster, more lightweight, and much more durable as a whole. Gone are the days when bats had to be frequently replaced because of the fact that they kept breaking and straining under the constant pressure of the game. As far as BBCOR bats go, this one is definitely worth looking at. It is a prime example of the kind of durability and strength as well as accuracy that these bats are capable of, making wooden bats all but extinct when it comes to the game of baseball.
